IUI

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a fertility treatment where sperm is inserted directly into a woman's uterus around the time of ovulation. The semen is collected from the husband and processed in our lab to remove the damaged and immotile sperms and only the rapidly motile healthy sperms are injected into the lady for better results.IUI is done with the help of a fine catheter that is inserted into the cervix without any anaesthesia.
Usually single or double iui is performed based on the nature of the problem. The
patient is made to lie down for 15-20 minutes after the IUI and normal physical
activities can be resumed after the IUI.
This can improve the chances of fertilization and pregnancy by bringing the sperm closer to the egg at the fallopian tubes where they can chemically communicate.Upto 3-6 IUI’s can be tried by the couple based on the reserve, tubal status, sperm quality.
Ovulation induction and IUI are often used together as a fertility treatment. In this case, the woman is given medication to stimulate the growth of follicles in the ovaries, and then the IUI procedure is performed around the time of ovulation to increase the chances of the sperm fertilizing the egg.
Ovarian reserve testing is a medical evaluation that helps determine a woman's fertility potential. This testing involves assessing the quantity of a woman's remaining eggs in her ovaries.
There are several methods used for ovarian reserve testing, including blood tests that measure hormone levels such as follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and anti- mullerian hormone (AMH). These hormones are used as markers of ovarian function and can help predict the number of remaining eggs a woman has. AMH has been accurate in measuring the ovarian reserve with good reproducibility.
AFC-Antral follicle count is an important method for ovarian reserve testing. Here ultrasound is used , which can measure the size and number of follicles in the
ovaries. This test is done between 2-5 days of the menstrual cycle and is one of the most accurate methods to test the ovarian reserve.
Ovarian reserve testing can help women understand their fertility potential and may be recommended for those who are having difficulty getting pregnant or for those who are considering delaying pregnancy until later in life. The results of these tests can help guide decisions about speed and nature of fertility treatment options and also family planning.
